Prevention, Education and Awareness Program
The Prevention, Education and Awareness Program in the Department of Justice’s Bureau of Narcotics Enforcement provides important education, training and outreach services to promote a drug-free, healthy environment for California youth.
Through the program, narcotic enforcement agents are available to make public presentations or arrange specialized training on drug abuse and drug-related issues.
The program works with a wide range of communities that extends from law enforcement to health care personnel and schools to social services agencies. The program also encourages community participation in the Bureau of Narcotics Enforcement’s precursor Merchant Program and other local initiatives designed to combat clandestine laboratory activities and drug abuse in the state.
The program also mentors other agencies regarding the Drug Endangered Children (DEC) protocols and provides assistance in forming DEC coalitions countywide.
To request a presentation, contact the Prevention Education and Awareness Agent in the Bureau of Narcotics Enforcement regional office in your area using the directory below. Our agents are available to assist you.
